Last week we began our final Social Studies unit, Canada and its Trading Partners. This is an interesting unit that will allow us to learn more about Canada and the connections it has with countries all around the world. One of the activities that we will be doing is creating a country in a box. The students will be doing all the written work at school, but the box is to be done at home and is due June 4, 2012. Students must decorate the outside of the box so that it represents their chosen country. On the inside, they can include important items (imports, exports, etc.) and they must create a scene that is representative of their country (can include tourist attractions, famous people, etc). Wednesday's awesome
Angry birds
How can they be so angry and so cute at the same time? AWESOME!
Thursday's awesome
Decoding license plates
Okay. So there you are riding in a car and you look up at the car in front of you and notice that there are a bunch of letters stuck together. You try to read them, but they don't seem make sense. Keep looking and you will be rewarded when you finally decode that word. AWESOME!
Friday's awesome
Driving in a car with the windows down
Close your eyes and imagine you are riding in a car with the windows down. Outside, the air is fresh and the wind flows over you. You feel a sense of freedom and as though you could soar high above the clouds. AWESOME!
I can't wait to get started on this project. It will be so fun!
